In 1992 the band recorded their
"Frealism" album at
Momentum Sound studios in Parson's Green, West London. It was
engineered by Gerard Johnson, who produces and plays keyboard
for Saint Etienne.
"I remember Justin drawling through a cloud of smoke,
'It needs to be more boomy, Gerard.'"
Alan Anderson, Justin's brother
"I still tell anybody who'll listen that Justin was the
most talented person I've ever worked with. I've yet to make a
record which I'm more proud of than Frealism." Gerard Johnson
Here are the band performing "Koochie Ryder" on the cult 90's UK TV programme,
The Word (4.5 Mb, requires RealPlayer):
"I was in the audience watching them perform on The Word.
Bob Holness was dressed as a hippie for some reason. They
had lent him a dog to complete the image and it bit me."
Alan Anderson
After a few live dates in London towards the end of
1993, including their most famous at Madame Jo Jo's on
Brewer Street, Soho, they were never seen again.
